Hi Liz,

Welcome to your new position as Editor In Chief!

I received the new December 2014/January 2015 edition and noticed that the quality and color of the paper stock was different. I assumed that it was a way to cut costs?

My disappointment lies with the way the pictures now seem to be grainier and fuzzy due to the green/blue/gray color of the paper. The cover of the magazine suffers this treatment as well. Pictures on page 34 and 35 seem washed out and out of focus. Previous versions of Reminisce provided a glossy stock in which I believe the pictures may have had a better platform for clarity. Some of the few color pictures are better, but it seems that the black and white transfers need to be clearer and LARGER!

Perhaps your digital transfer department can do something?

When I read the stories from readers and immerse in their life experiences, I also immerse myself in the supplied photograph(s) because it connects to the reminiscing experience. For instance, I look for the type of clothes, car, scenery, background, foreground and expressions on faces. These all contribute to the nostalgic experience.

The "new look" just does not supply this experience.

I understand the "business" side of running a publication. I would be willing to pay more for the subscription if that meant better quality.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $20.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Reminisce Cons: New look or publisher.
